updaaaaates

Some stuff I've been working on. Nazgul is nearing completion now that if figured out the problem with the uv's. Looking pretty sweet if I do say so myself.

Nazgul's horse. Just making it a regular horse to begin with. Later it will be emaciated, undead, and posed. Maybe give it that broken back thing that some horses get.
with hair planes and such

starting some busts to be put into a blend shape animation (good example here at 2:30) . I plan on doing several by graduation, so I'm trying to spend under 10 hours each. nearing 5 on this one.reference from good old 3d.sk

Nice job Andrew. These both look really nice. Somethings I would look at are the bone structure and simple shapes. You want you skin to feel like it's resting on muscle and the muscle is over bone.

that bust is awesome. looks kinda joe hah. the horse is sweet too! but bryan's got a good point the skin and muscle on the horse feel a little contrived and slightly unnatural.

Before you start animating this bust, remember that for blend shapes to work without problems, do not freeze transform or delete the history after coping them. and when skinning a model, keep in mind that the blend shape should be below the skinning so that the software first calculates your blend shape and then the movement of the bone which is skinned

Thanks for the kind words Andrew! Yep, I was using Bodypaint. I dig it because of the layer system and brush selection.

Your is work is very cool man. I'll be checking back here for sure.
